Typical Day of a child


A typical day starts with grooming at 6.30am followed by prayers at 8.00am and breakfast at 8.30am.

School is broken into three sessions, the first is from 9.00am – 10.30am, the second from 11.00am – 12.00pm, and the third is from 2.00pm – 4.00pm.

Physiotherapy and massage sessions are on a one-to-one basis with daily or sometimes twice daily sessions for the more severe cases

Tea is served at 4.00pm, after which the children are free to do as they wish which usually means playing – in the canteen, at the playground or just strolling or cycling in the vast compound of Karuna Home. Prayers are held at 6.00pm followed by dinner and bed at 8.00pm and 8.30pm respectively.
